An Indiana University Wedding
Rose Wells House | President’s Hall
We’ve kept it no secret that Austin and I are Boilermarkers. We met while attending Purdue, and even lived there for a while when I was working on my Master’s Degree and had a “real” job working for the University. All in all, I spent ten years in good ole West Lafayette.
However, even though we really are Boilermakers at heart, and if we had to choose, we would always stay true to the Black and Gold. But, both of us are sympathetic to Indiana University too. My dad and various other family members attended IU Bloomington and I appreciate what IU does. I’d never send anyone to Purdue for a law degree and I’d never send anyone to IU for an Ag degree. Austin grew up with a bedroom decked out in IU….red walls and everything…but…he came to realize the error of his ways by the time it was time to apply for college 😉
So, it is with this background information that I say that we are starting to feel more at home on IU’s campus. I no longer feel as though I have entered enemy territory. We appreciate the beautiful, wooded trails, the very Indiana limestone buildings, and even the landmarks in Bloomington.
We love photographing weddings on IU’s campus, and Brandon and Sasha’s was no exception. They met while attending IU, even though they both now live in Indianapolis, they love returning to campus for sporting events and other activities. So, when they were deciding on the venue for their wedding, Indiana University just made sense. They were married in front of the Rose Wells House under the beautiful shade of the campus trees, and held their reception at the President’s Hall within Franklin Hall, just a short walk away.
Everything was so beautiful and perfect. Here are a few samples from their Indiana University wedding at the Rose Wells House with their reception at President’s Hall in Franklin Hall.
Sasha just looked GORGEOUS! Great work, Andi with Something Blue Stylists!
I loved all of her details and the rose gold that carried throughout her day!
…and her rose gold wedding ring. How beautiful it this?!?
It’s always fun for me to look through the pictures that Austin takes with the guys while they are getting ready. It’s the one part of the day that I never see.
How AMAZING is her Pronovias dress? Pronovias in one of my very favorite designers. Their dresses are always stunning and fit so perfectly!
Sasha’s ring with her Momma’s hand.
I feel like I say this every week. But I really LOVE when we set up a special moment for the father of the bride to see his little girl for the first time. It’s a special day for him too and this not only helps him feel included and special, but it’s always just such a darn sweet moment.
…AND first looks with the bride and groom. Seriously, if you don’t do a first look you are missing out on such a sweet, special, intimate moment before everyone arrives and the crazy of the day starts.
Brandon was so thrilled to see his new bride!
We did the first look right at the Sample Gates at the entrance to IU’s campus. How much more Bloomington and Indiana University can you get?
Oh my, Sasha’s veil was so long and fantastic!
The reception details were just perfect! Cathy Teeters did an amazing job coordinating and putting everything together!
Brandon had such a fun dance with his mom!
…and the night ended back at the Sample Gates with a sparker exit. What a fabulous day!
Congratulations Brandon and Sasha!
Thanks so much to all of the vendors who made Brandon and Sasha’s Indiana University, Bloomington wedding so wonderful!
