An Indianapolis Orthodox Wedding & Union Station Reception
She told herself that she would never try online dating, but she put her hesitations aside and decided to give it a try. When opening her email one day, she saw an email with the subject, “Greetings Fellow Traveler!” She thought about not responding because, really, Sandra was just kind of “over it.” She scrolled through his pictures and saw how adventurous and happy Munir seemed, so she decided to reply to his email the next day, and they’ve talked every day since!
The first thing Munir noticed about Sandra was that she was 100% authentic. He loved that the first picture that he saw of her online was a selfie after a long hike to Machu Picchu. Just from that one photo, there were so many things that attracted Munir to Sandra instantly. She was adventurous, hard working, well-traveled, and appreciated experiencing and learning new things.
After getting to know each other better, Sandra was so impressed with how well Munir honors and loves his family and God through his actions. The icing on the cake was that Munir bravely and without hesitation agreed to have coffee with Sandra and her immediate and extended family the very first weekend they met it person, AND he handled it like a champ!
Since their relationship was long distance, with Munir finishing up his degree at Purdue University and Sandra working hard in Washington DC, it included a lot of plane trips. On one of those trips, Sandra boarded her plane and had no idea Munir was also on the plane. He surprised her by proposing over the intercom!
Here’s the stats of their relationship:
15,472 flight miles
14,889 messages on WhatApp
128 hours 44 minutes 49 seconds on Skype Video Chat
2 Orthodox Christians
Can you tell that Munir is and economist and loves numbers? 🙂
We were so honored to capture their beautiful wedding for this awesome couple!
