Mack and Katie’s friendship began in high school when they both attended Zionsville High School and also attended Zionsville Presbyterian Church. They were friends, but they didn’t start dating until college at Purdue University. After college, they moved to Denver, Colorado to begin their careers. One beautiful morning, Mack proposed to Katie at sunrise at Mills Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Their wedding day was not only special to them because it was their day, but because they shared the day with Katie’s grandparent’s 64th wedding anniversary. It was on December 23, 1953 that they were married on her grandmother’s 18th birthday!
This wedding was a gorgeous wedding 2 days before Christmas. While the wedding incorporated classic Christmas and holiday style throughout the day, it was also their own. We loved the amazing classic decorations and style of this wedding at the Mavris Arts and Event Center. The gorgeous florals, Katie’s beautiful dress, the wonderful people, and of course black ties, are always our favorites. Another classic wedding that will never go out of style!
Here are a few samples from Mack and Katie’s amazing industrial chic Christmas wedding.
Meanwhile, while I was taking the picture above. This craziness was happening elsewhere.
