Brad & Brittanie

Brad & Brittanie began attending school together in the 6th grade. Although they did have classes together and mutual friends, it wasn’t until they were juniors in high school that everything changed. Their class took a trip to Chicago, and it was on that trip that they began talking to each other, became friends, and as the year went on, their friendship developed into a high school romance.

When it was time to go to college, Brittanie planned to attend Indiana University and Brad was off to Ohio State on a running scholarship. Unfortunately, an injury ended his running career, so he transferred to Indiana University in Bloomington for his sophomore year of college. This put them back together again, finishing college at IU. Then, moving to Charlotte, North Carolina for Brittanie’s job, where they live now. I’ve always had a soft spot for the south, but after Austin and I lived in Atlanta, we really developed a deep love and appreciation for the south, in fact, my all time favorite wedding venue is in Highlands, North Carolina. We loved the Farm at Old Edwards when we photographed a wedding there way back in 2014! Anyway, I loved hearing about Brad and Brittanie’s life there in North Carolina!

Brad and Brittanie returned to Bloomington, Indiana for their wedding at the beautiful Sycamore Farm. We began at a cute bed and breakfast, Shower’s Inn, near IU’s campus for their wedding preparations. We then spent some time on IU’s campus taking some portraits, before heading over to Sycamore Farm for their wedding ceremony and reception. Here are a few samples of their beautiful fall Bloomington, Indiana Wedding.

Brad’s ring was extra special because it was his Grandfathers!

I’m always encouraging brides to wear practical shoes. Your wedding day will be a LONG day and, with a long dress, no one will really see your feet. I love these sparkly Kate Spade Keds! What a great option!
