Jake and Lauren chose Grove City College in Pennsylvania for their college studies, Lauren from Indiana and Jake from Colorado. When they met their freshman year, they became fast friends. It wasn’t until they returned to school the fall of their sophomore year that they began dating. Then, one day, while Lauren was home in Indiana, Jake surprised her by flying out from Colorado to propose in front of the historic home near her house, called the Blanton House.
It was in the backyard of the Blanton House where they were married in their vintage themed ceremony. They had so many cute details that nodded to their love of travel and history. We loved the historic postcards, china pieces, and antiques incorporated into their day. However, sweetest centerpiece to the wedding was Lauren’s decision to be the third generation to wear the same wedding dress without any major alterations!
It was a great wedding day at a lovely location surrounded by love. Here are a few samples from their day.
I love that she wore the same wedding dress that her mother and grandmother wore!
A special thank you to everyone who came together to make Jake and Lauren’s Blanton House wedding wonderful.
